I'm listening to it right now or, at least, I think it's the message. There are two and I didn't catch the title. I'm not going to comment on it after I listen to it.
My husband said that there are things he doesn't agree with, but he won't talk about GP or anyone else. Good man!

Oh please. Does your dislike of DA blind you that much? This wasn't a live feed, correct? This was recorded and then posted on the church's website. If RM believed what he said the previous week, he would have never allowed the sermon to be posted on the internet. If it's no one's business, don't post it on the WORLD WIDE web.

I agree, and I said from the get-go that the thread shouldn't be about GP's preaching. No one listens to me.
Nevertheless, if you are going to listen to it and have an opinion, you should listen to the clip first, and if you think it doesn't fairly represent his comments, then watch the whole thing. It'll save you a lot of time. The comments aren't cut all that short. IMO, they were presented in context.

Has anyone considered that?
I tolerate more craziness from people I like than those I don't, and oratory skills aside, I'd wager GP is a pretty likeable guy.

SERIOUSLY??? What'd he do, forget what he said the previous week??

Jeremiah Wright involves himself in political activism - Black Liberation Theology. Big difference. That is not the NT Church by any stretch of the means.

I think it's very feasible ... the rules change all the time within this movement.

No, a lack of reaction would be due to an unchanging rule: respect your elders.

What theology did we get out of 10 minutes of GP?
You and the blowhards ran with a 5 second clip ... and did not have the decency to use this wanton litmus test ....
PO ... you're an apologist and try to convince us you're the modicum of objectivity ... it gets old.

NOW,
I am just wondering what the whole message was about and possibility the part that Daniel edited didn't seem that important to him. I don't know. I'm just speculating at this point. Did any of you watch the total message?

I did end up watching both sermons. RM condemned the use of a rock song for a sermon illustration very pointedly. He said God was jeolous and "some things" (specifically the rock song) have NO PLACE in a worship service....condemning the preacher that did such a horrible thing.
The next week what was preached againt last week seems to be endorsed with laughter, and jumping, and clapping.....A James Brown spirit singing a James Brown tune in a worship service...
This has simpy made me curious as to how a pastor would address this contradiction...
I'm not uptight, nor am I fighting, nor am I condemning RM or GP. RM and I have been friends since we were teens. In the 90's we even preached youth camps together. I have no bone to pick, I'm just curious what his true response is in light of the two clips.

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?
Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.
