Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Actually computers ARE starting to do some pretty amazing things based on how the human brain sees things. Most, if not all, would have trouble seeing the individual words in the above sentence yet when placed IN a sentence, they just sort of "make sense".
A visual analogy would be a picket fence. Standing in one spot and looking through it does not give a very good view because 50% or more is blocked by the wooden posts. Yet as soon as you start MOVING and looking through it, the posts sort of vanish and you can see nearly perfectly.
Several years ago, I took a Harvard speed reading course. I was taught first to read a sentence at a time. Then I was taught to read a whole paragraph as instantaly as I could read a word. Finally, I could read an entire page with only a glance. The eyes do not read but the mind does.
I could still do it if I were to train myself again. Sadly, I have lapsed back into reading word for word. That is easily done when you stop to meditate on each nuance of the word.
