Re: Canada In A Constitutional Crisis-Please Pray

People in the west are livid!
If they got elected that is one thing, but to try and usurp power in this manner--people want some heads to roll!

I am hoping cooler heads will prevail, if not, put it to a vote.
I don't care if we just voted 6 weeks ago.
We decided who governs, not backroom deals.

I really hope Layton, Dion, Ignatief, & Rae, all get the boot next election!

Pray & get your pitchfork I always say!

I don't know about you, but on all the talk shows out west it is the subject of talk almost 24/7 & people almost 100% are maaaaaddddd!

I even heard a few NDP supporters say that they have serious misgivings about this!

Re: Canada In A Constitutional Crisis-Please Pray

Prime Minister Steven Harper met with the Governor General & permission was granted to Prorogue Parliament! Woo! Hoo!
One victory!

It was a meeting that took 2 1/2 hours which should have only took 20 minutes.
I would love to be a fly on the wall.

Parliament will be recalled Jan 26 where a new budget will be introduced!
They can then try and defeat the Government then but they will hopefully try to gauge public opinion by then!

Keep Praying!

Maybe it won't be Quebec to split up our nation, the Liberals may very well end up doing it themselves.
Dion needs to step down as leader of the Liberals, you think he would have taken the hint last election. What they are doing now is nothing less than treason.

You got that right!
Quebec is crying that the west doesn't understand thier choice in electing separatists to represent them.

That may be true, but Quebec doesn't understand how the west views this power grab!

Sigh!

The only bright spot in this is some in the NDP & Liberal ranks are starting to wonder if this was a wise move, & also that at what price will they pay at the polls next election which may come sooner, rather than later!

The best thing about all of this is that, with the House prorogued until late January, the politicians won't have any opportunity to meddle with the economy and make things worse than what they already are.

The thing that has really amazed me is all of the dinosaurs that have reappeared in the last week. Broadbent, Parizeau, . . .

Yeah really.
I even saw the ghost of Trudeau in his son speaking out!

One Trudeau was too much!

I expect that the Liberal's worst nightmare is a February election with Stephane Dion as leader.

I wonder if Huey, Dewey, & Lewie will be able to come into the oxygen long enough to gauge public opinion.

There are already cracks in the coalition of the three stooges, I hope & pray it falls apart.

All they need is 12 members to break ranks & vote with the Government & we are they are finished!
