Amen! His plan for us is that we stop trying to do it ourself! He did it for us! I ponder this and I am moved beyond measure. To fathom this kind of love brings me to my knees! It causes me to want to live for Him with my whole heart, not out of command, but willingly.
I cry Abba, Father! My Dad in Heaven cares about me! Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. God is my friend!
We must rebuke the plan of "works", otherwise we will nail our brothers and sisters to a cross. This leads to disunity, foul judgement, and complete disaster. The redemptive qualities of Calvary will be lost in the maze of "I can do it!" We will wander in the desert of circles because we've used a compass with no bearing!
The Lord never intended for us to take His place.
