Re: Pretendacostal-Is that you?

I think only a few I know are really "jazzercizing" (where on earth did that word evolves from?).

Most are just into joyfully worshiping. No shockamoo/flippin out/ or total abandon styles needed or desired on my part.

Don't get me wrong sometimes you fake until you make it if you are a dancer and shockamooer. But I mean people that live a consistant life of trying to fit in, but all they do it stick out.

What exactly constitutes the "proper life" for a true believer? (I think that is what your thread is about?)

Probably a great number of those who say they are Pentecostal whether they speak in tongues, run the aisles, jump the pews, ect, or whether they do not are not living a life of discipleship to Jesus Christ.

Re: Pretendacostal-Is that you?

Look, anyone can sit at their keyboard and criticize their brothers around them whom they should be encouraging. Not saying that is the case here, but it is often interpeted.

We're all on life's jouney. A christian's life should not be stagnant. We are to be moving, to be elevating, higher and higher.

The opportunity is here, What does the life of a true believer look like? Sunday, through Saturday.

Hi DD. Here is the answer to the question of what a believers life should look like every day.

[48] Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matt. 5:48

[14] As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
[15] But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
[16] Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1 Peter 1:14-16

Paul and the other Apostolic Ministers were a living demonstration of the true disciples lifestyle.

[10] Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe: 1 Thess. 2:10

So there you have it. The normal Christian life.
