Did Bro. Kilgore who I respect and hold in high regard incidentally say why he lent his support to something like this? Did he support it conscientiously at one point and then have a change of heart later? When did he realize that a gross error had been made. This I wonder.

I don't think it would be appropriate to call someone out of the blue and be so presumptuous as to ask these kind of questions. It would be rude and seem disrespectful. I was hoping there might be more information here that would lend credence to what has been said about mutiple repentances and overall regret. That's all.

I agree....I wouldn't just call someone out of the blue and pepper them with questions either. It just doesn't seem right.

I was present in attendance in the meeting hall in Salt Lake city in 1992 when the Document From Hell was debated, ammended and finally passed by a standing majority vote.

Brothers Price and Kilgore were the two strongest proponents of the Document. Brother Price was not on the platform but Bro. Kilgore gave his strong opinion as to why it should be adopted. I sometimes wonder if it would have carried had he be against it. He carries so much influence.

Since the passage of that resolution, there has come in our ranks a great deal of division caused by it. This I feel is the cause of brother Kilgore's regret, though he never expressed to me this exact sentiment...only to say that he wishes that he could do it over again. This dear man is for unity of the Spirit and of the bretheren that he loves so dearly. I feel that it greives his heart to see the division caused by it. You would have to know the man as I do to fully understand this.

Men often live to regret decisions made during times of pressure and political agenda. I too along with others regret the decisions made and actions taken at that time. Pastor Poster pointed out that there were many factors and people involved in the ultimate decision. This is true.

Time marches on with many comrades gone missing.

Yes, amen. This is true.

The heartbreaking, crying shame is that so many good men, yes comrades are gone missing that need not have gone missing. Someone needs to track them down like bird dogs and bring them back home...with love and grace.
