It's fine - to me that's not making "fun" of praying at all.
Maybe Oliphant's softening a bit (doubt it).

I thought so too, and I found it out of character for the cartoonist.

Re: Is This Blasphemy - Washington Post?
You can't expect unregenerate sinners to act and think like people whose hearts, souls, minds and lives have been transformed by the power of Jesus Christ.
Write all the letters you want, however you want, but the bottom line is the world and people who living dead in trespass and sin really don't care.
Stop buying and reading the magazine (if you do). That will have a larger influence and make a larger more powerful statement and effect than letter writing.
Just another view (and my opinion) to add to the mix.

Sometimes you just need to make a statement, whether it makes any difference or not.
Boycotting the WP may hurt them in their pocketbooks, but sometimes you just need to go on record as being against something. Do it with class, don't insult anyone in the process, but make a stand.

Sure. It's a free country with a right to free speech. That's what's great about democracy.
Really, we had to expect a cartoon like that showing up somewhere sometime. I certainly did.

Oh, I didn't pay much attention to it really. I took notice to the pic of SP speaking gibberish. Didn't really pay much attention to the rest of it.

Lol - well, before you vote or pass judgement you might want to read ALL of it.
