Understand that I am not finding fault with you or condemning you. I'm just trying to understand. I am also ex-UPC. But I'm not interested in putting them down or ridiculing them or even finding out why anyone else would leave. I love my UPC roots. I just choose not to be UPC at this point in my life. However, if I had left angry or hurt, the last place in the world that I would want to be is on a forum full of Apostolic people.

The thread ask "IF" you are Ex-UPC, and the tell us your story.

I did not ask, "Are you hurt, angry, bitter and to you want to tell us all about it, so we can ridicule UPC together. "

Some in the UPC aint that bad or they would not be here at AFF.

Don't think that all of us believe in it... my faith is only in Christ...

I apologize for misunderstanding.
On the other hand, I know that, at least in my case, to tell my story would make it feel (to me) like I was bashing the UPC. I wouldn't be. But it would feel like that to me. And I have a hard time imagining how anyone could tell their story any other way. If they still agreed, they'd still be there, right?? Am I wrong in thinking this???

Revelationist, I truly don't think that all UPC people "believe in the UPC". Granted, I understand that there are a few who do. But I am convinced that they are the great MINORITY. NOT the majority. I didn't mean for my statement to sound the way it did. Sorry.

I left the UPC because of politics on all sorts of levels. There is soooo much dross that could stand to be burned off, however, some have coated the dross with fine gold and have it displayed up on the mantle of their religious mentality.

I love the people dearly and I need them in my life, but I just feel like they are living a life laid out for them.
