They are a representative duplicity of personas -- a single entity with two different masks that keep the american people dumbed down and incapable of voting for people who may actually make a difference. And the MSM is complicit in this, along with the Church, and a whole host of other entities with their incapability to see past "loosing to the [place most hated political party/single issue here]".

All of these should be speaking truth to the powerful but all a politician has to do to get the Christian vote is scream abortion and suddenly all manner of junk is overlooked because those daggum democrats want to kill us all -- and the MSM is no different. Try screaming "Global Warming" or "Universal Healthcare" and see how much of a change that makes in a Democrat politicians corner.

Singular topics and issues that hide the other junk that is about as anti-american as you can get. It's slight of hand plain and simple. "Watch this hand! See it! See it!" while the other hand is slipping our rights right into the garbage. Someone begins noticing and suddenly "Abortion! Global Warming! Safety from terrorism! Iran is going to bomb us with their non-existent air force, wooden coast guard battleships, and complete archaic military technology!" is yelled and the attention is directed back to the issues that "they" want us to look at.

A citizen who votes for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil...

This was by far the most insightful post I have read on any political thread on AFF. You pretty much hit the nail squarely on the head when you wrote how Americans have been manipulated into giving up their civil liberties by officials who have beat the drum of fear since 9/11.

We hear over and over about the liberal media, but what many haven't realized was that the media has been controlled by the Council of Foreign Relations for years. Many major media companies have merged until just a few men actually control all the news that our country has received for the last several years. It stopped being about liberals versus conservatives, but about conditioning society with deceptions and lies in order to push forward the One World Government agenda.

Many of those who have been blinded by the lies of our government and organizations like CFR will have a rude awakening sooner rather than later, IMO!
