Re: IT'S SNOWING in MEMPHIS!!!!!
rgcraig & Sherri,
You guys need to get that snow on out of there! Mrs. CC1, daugher, and granddaughter are on their way back to Nashville from the "Show off the Grandbaby Tour 2009". They left Austin, Texas this afternoon and are pulling into Little Rock to spend the night in a few minutes now.
The Weather Channel said that Memphis and Nashville are supposed to be sunny and clear tomorrow and above freezing. I am counting on that!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

We are hoping to have a 2 pm service, if we can't have the morning ones. I hope this stuff all melts off the roads before then!

I just tried to take a picture, because it looks so beautiful out with the street lights on, but it didn't turn out good at all. So I'll try to get one early in the morning before everyone starts driving in our subdivision.

Re: IT'S SNOWING in MEMPHIS!!!!!
Just north of us they've had 10" - - which is unheard of around here.
We've had about 3" so far and will be getting more during the night.
CC1 - I believe the roads will be fine tomorrow. They aren't too bad now, but as the snow comes during the night and the traffic slows down they will be worse first thing in the morning. I would suspect that I40 will be pretty clear tomorrow.

I think we have about 3" too; I figured Memphis had 5 or 6 by now. It's still coming down really hard here, but Mom said they don't have hardly any in Adamsville - just an hour away.

Where I am is in a clear pocket right now. Still snowing downtown though and that will be heading our way soon.

Jon and I were in Jackson today and started home a little before 7. It took us nearly 1-1/2 hours to get from Old Country Store to Bethel Springs and then it was like everything just nearly came to a stop. Weird.

Mrs. CC1 just checked into the hotel in Little Rock and she said it is snowing there also. They are going to sleep in tomorrow morning to give the temp a chance to rise and the roads to clear before heading on home to Nashville.

LOL!!!! No, actually I am still in Austin. I fly out tomorrow night. She will beat me home by a few hours.
When I left the house all of the dishes, towels, & washrags were clean from the week I was there alone. However my oldest son and my SIL arrived home from Texas yesterday and will have had three days to destroy everything - and they will.
