I dont get your first question. The answer to the second is he scourges every Son he receives. Our Father will not be out to get you if you keep yourself from sin.

What kind of fear am I teaching? The fear of the LORD.

Re: The Fear Of God: The Key To End Time Revival

What will endtime revival look like? Do you believe it will look like people flocking to traditional churches to be "saved" or do you believe it will spread like a holy fire through the homes of America?

Frankly I don't believe the traditional institutional church can withstand the revival God is planning to send to America. Our church buildings aren't big enough. We don't have the necessary number of ordained denominational pastors to minister to the in gathering God has in store. To receive the Revival God wishes to send we need a church without walls, a versatile church, with eldership ministries that minister closer to the people. The priesthood of all believers will have to be restored and churches in smaller groups will have to meet together in homes throughout the nation.

My second pastor at the first church I attended was preaching about a dream God gave him. In his dream there were people lined up and down the street in every direction trying to get into the church. There were so many people most couldn't fit in the building. People were standing outside the building in the field and in the parking lot worshiping the Lord. There were so many people being baptized there weren't enough ministers in the church to baptize all of them and the ministry was growing wearing and tired. As he told of this dream he was getting excited and continued to scream "GET READY FOR REVIVAL! IT'S COMING TO THIS CHURCH!!!" But as I reflected on his dream it began to settle on me differently...I didn't see the dream as a prophecy of fantastic revival, I saw the dream as a warning. It seemed to me like God was telling us that we couldn't handle the in gathering that would come from the massive revival he desires to send. A revival like our pastor described would be a disaster for any traditional church. There would be no way to minister to or to retain such a crowd in a traditional congregation. As people overflowed into neighboring churches pastors would become bitter about the massive crowds bleeding into another pastors church. It would be a mess. This sermon I heard was roughly 6 years ago.

Roughly two years ago I discovered a growing trend in American Christianity. It seems as though Christians from every denomination are walking away and no longer attending traditional churches. Instead, they are meeting in smaller and more personal groups gathered in each others homes. You could call it a revival of the Apostolic pattern of "having church". God began to deal with me... I felt the Spirit empress upon me that the revival coming to our nation will not come under a banner, it will not benefit a denomination or organization, it will not have all the trappings of a publishing house, the people may not all believe the same things, standards aren't going to be uniform, and it's not going to be a massive money making enterprise. Forget salivating over all the money that will roll in to build that stadium sized building in which you desire to house all those saints.

No... this is too big for buildings and denominations. This is going to be a massive influx into the Kingdom of God. It's going to redefine church in America. It's going to be more than a "revival"... it's going to be a "reformation". It's going to change the spiritual landscape of America.

My friends... Jesus has left the building.

and the "established" churches will not play a big role in it. It would be outside of and greater than our organized religion --Methodist, Roman Catholic, United Pentecostal, Baptist, etc. I believe God will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh.

Yes, they will dis-fellowship you and say you're caught up in deception. You will be hated for his name's sake.

yes, misunderstood, minimized, excluded and persecuted.

A good example is what was called "the Jesus people" and "the Charismatic movement" back in the nineteen sixties. They were not part of the organized churches. They baptized people in the ocean or lakes or swimming pools or hot tubs. They laid hands on one another and prayed and prophesied and spoke in tongues. We (myself included) looked down on them and wondered how that could really be God in them because they did not come to us to receive His Spirit and they did not look like us.

God has since mercifully forgiven me for my judgmentalism and excusivism.

This revival is already starting to gain momentum in America. The house church movement is growing and becoming a greater force in modern Christianity. I see it as a restoration, and a refreshing of the people of God.

Now something dose cause me pause. It may so be that persecution will follow on the heals of this revival. Perhaps the growing house church movement is God's way of preparing the remnant church he wishes to preserve by getting them out of the established religious system that will be destroyed when persecution begins. For those who depend on traditional trappings of "church", they will be scattered like sheep having no shepherd if persecution begins in America. However, the house church movement will already have very private networks already established.
