I got a gas wall heater at Orschelns that doesn't require electricity to operate safely. It wouldn't heat the whole house, but it would sure keep the pipes from freezing and keep one room warm in a pinch. I never installed it. Several plumbers have come and questioned me about that... I remind them that if the electricity goes out to my area, I won't be able to find an electrician for weeks, but I bet I'll be able to find a plumber in no time!
(they laugh and agree with that theory.)
Hoovie, you bill for mileage, right? Take him up on that offer!!!

It's called a desk lamp.
It is not plugged in. It just sits there. You can see another adjustable lamp that is attached to the end of the desk that I can move around as needed. A 70 something year old man needs good light and good glasses too.

Goodness!
You all notice everything.
I found told carousel projector in storage and had it out to see if it still works since I have a lot of slides that I took in Japan in the late 1950s, Vietnam in the 1960s and since then. Guess what! It still works! I sure was glad.
The thing to the right of the computer is also called a lamp.
I'm a poor man. Silver and gold have I none...at least not much anyway.
