Comments and feedback are most definitely welcome and appreciated.

I hope that the new subforums in the fellowship hall will bring more traffic to the areas that seem to be lacking participation. There are many great things posted in the blog area, etc.... now that they are where they can be seen by those who never leave the fellowship hall-- maybe those who never leave this area will realize there really was life outside the fellowship hall.

Now if we could just get more participation in the more serious discussions over in the Deep Waters section.....

Thanks. I don't have a problem with the subforums being onthe page. I would simply prefer them to be at the bottom of page 1.

Adios.

I would think bringing it over as a subforum on the Fellowship Hall page should make you feel special. At least it's on the FH page and not in the other forum that you had to click on to get to.

I believe all Boom was trying to say is that the system will not allow the subforums to be at the bottom of the page. The sub just means that they are a sub-forum to the Fellowship Hall.

Anything with the heading "sub" sounds like it's inferior. Like sub-standard. You know?

Just think outside the box. You guys wanted it in the FH - - if it's in the FH as a thread it will bounce wherever as it gets posted on or not. Putting it in a subforum holds it's place in the FH so that you always know where it is.

To put it in it's own forum it would have to go off the FH page and that wouldn't serve the purpose of putting it where the general traffic is.

And the Canadian Thread being the first Subforum shows that we WANT to generate some traffic, while still giving a place to not be lost in 66 pages of Hair Threads.

I have long tried to think we could move outside FH some, but the mentality that exists is there is no thread like in FH. Having the subforums there may show we have other sections of the board.

It's true there's a mentality. Like I said, people will sift and sort through pages of threads to find one they're looking for, but many just don't venture outside of the Fellowship Hall and interested in doing that either.

I think there is resistance to "re-education". LOL.

But even on FCF it was the same way. Nobody much went to the Music Forum or Jill's Neighborhood (I think that's what it was called), etc. Everybody wants to fellowship in the General discussion area I guess.

I'm not trying to make a case here one way or the other. Just saying is all.

I really like this idea. I think the Blog area will see more traffic now also. Some life seems to be coming back to the Gabby's thread, and to Dora's Diaries. More people SEE those now that they are highlighted here.
I feel so special!

Well, we'll see if it gets more traffic. Hopefully it won't get boycotted again.
