Re: ' jesus '

He was born Jesus.

Matt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

He was MADE Lord and CHRIST.

Act 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Paulus, Timotheous, Lucas, and so on.

The original KJV of 1611 wrote it as Iesus,
then it was later on it was changed to Jesus.
Iesou predates the birth of Christ by 200 years, and His name was Iesu in Latin.

When you talk to the Hebrew roots followers many of them seem not to be on the same page concerning the spelling of the Hebrew/Aramaic name.

I believe that in whatever language, or translation of the name of Jesus, that when you speak His name, recognizing His authority, that regardless if you speak or spell the name differently than its original translation, that God honors the recognition of authority in that name.

This is interesting, how about if you truly believe his name is Jai Sri Ram?

The variation in the spelling stems from different factors.
we are talking about a name that was transliterated (not translated) from the original Aramaic to Hebrew, to Greek to Latin and to English.
So it is logical that the different grammatical rules of each language transition will affect how we pronounce it in English.
