I called JEA and they are going to come out and reread the meter, because she said it was a big jump in gas usage. I'm praying that they are just wrong. My highest bill ever was $453 last winter, and I nearly choked over it!

Just wondered if anyone else has had this kind of shock this year?????
I live in Wisconsin and it was below zero for most of Jan. My bill was less than 300 hundred dollars and that is Gas and Electric combined. My house is larger than 2000 sq feet.

Really, I was at Parkway for the better part of the time from 1980-2007. My wife's father is Bro. Frank Tamel's Brother. It is her step Dad. Her birth father died in 1968.

Her Mom is sister Lois Tamel

I have since moved over to a Racine, WI church.

The pastor is Jeff Butler.

I have always leaned less Con.

My late Father was the best friend of Frank Tamel.

So I hold them in the highest regards.

Can you PM me with your name.

I might remember u.

God Bless...

We keep our heat set on 67-68.

(So I guess our utilities run about $550 a month, in the summer and winter...when we use more gas/electric for heat and air). I like it in the spring and fall when we don't have to use much heat/air either way, and can just open the windows!!! Much nicer, AND lower bills.

We try to get everything on level-pay, whenever possible...that way, we know every month what the bill will be, and there are no surprises. (Except at the end of the year, when you may owe a balance.)
Wow! We use propane also, but our bill was about $400.00 and that will last us about 7 months. We heat with wood. We had to buy some wood this year and that cost us $85.00. I don't know how we would servive with a huge utility bill every month.
