I hate that he felt the need to leave the UPC to reach the lost more effectively. I have great respect for him because instead of participating in things the UPC OFFICIALLY prohibit while in it's fellowship he withdrew. It's that simple.

C'mon, get real. The reason his schedule thinned out is that most UPC churches do not preach exUPCers. Certainly official meetings like Campmeetings do not reach outside the fellowship. The rational being that there are plenty of qualified evangelists/ preachers within the fellowship.
A UPC church will preach a man who has never been UPC a lot quicker than one who was UPC and left.
Suber is a big boy so surely he realized this would happen so I think the reason he felt comfortable doing it and knowing most of his UPC regulars would dry up is that he did have the "in house evangelist" or whatever positions in place at the Breakfast church in Houston and Promiseland in Austin.
It should be intersting to see how he handles having a lot less places to preach.
