Why do you wear makeup, if you do?

Anyway, just because that happened to me I don't think it is for everyone. That doesn't keep me from wondering why others DO wear makeup and jewelry. I would not dare ask my friends this question because I think they would think I was judging them and just give a defensive answer.

Here nobody knows who I am, so nobody has to "prove" anything to me. I am hoping that some of you can help me understand why anyone wears makeup and jewelry.

All I know is that I was wearing it for all the wrong reasons and it was offensive to God. I would like to start wearing makeup again, especially since I am looking older every day. So for me to wear makeup would be wrong. God intended for me to look old because I am getting old. He could have easily not made men and women to look old. My friends seem to not like how God made me because they think I should wear makeup. :-/ I don't want to offend them with why I don't wear makeup and make them think that I think I am better than them.

Also, why don't men wear makeup?

I wear the make-up because our band's manager makes us. I drew the line at the fish net but I still have to wear the make up, glitter and the metal shoulder pads. Oh, and the hair's not real either. We had to find something that wouldn't go up in a flash fire during the pyrotechnics that accompany the guitar solos.

Well, the guy in the middle appears to have on long sleeves, well maybe not long since there cut because long is uncut, but anyways he most be the conservative in the group?

That's me in the middle with the metal shoulder pads. I totally can't believe my rhythm guitar player just took his shirt off. Luckily this was one of those "UPC gone Charismatic" churches so nobody made a real big deal out of it. But still, I wanna be able to sell some Cd's at General Conference this fall. We gotta be cool ... gotta be cool!
