I called JEA and they are going to come out and reread the meter, because she said it was a big jump in gas usage. I'm praying that they are just wrong. My highest bill ever was $453 last winter, and I nearly choked over it!

Just wondered if anyone else has had this kind of shock this year?????
I just got the same shock. I have a home in TN less than an hour from you (we just finished it and are putting it up for sale) and I just got my bill. The gas bill alone was 447 and no one even lives there. I was planning to call them and have them go out and look for leaks or something.

I live in Colorado, we've had one of the worst winters in years, have gas heat, and my entire bill (gas, water, electricity) has barely topped three hundred in the coldest months.

I think somebody is taking some incredible profits in TN.

Wow I thought $127.00 was high. When we built our house we used the foam blocks with a R50 rating. I think it was worth the extra money. We have wood floors and they aren't cold in the winter. We keep our heat at 68 and our children wear short sleeves in the house. I have gotten a shock in the past few weeks when I have gone outside and windchill was 30 below. It was so warm in the house I didn't notice it at first. I only stopped and ran in and out of 2 stores without my gloves and my hands were numb. I put my goves on and it took ten minutes for them to feel normal again.

No I am looking to move in a direction. I have no issue's or complaint's. I think this is the best for my family.

Thanks for your thoughts. I spent 25 plus years at Parkway...

My only thought would be the church is night and day since Frank Tamel has passed the reigns..

God Bless

I remember Bro Fobia. I will send a PM at a later time. See my Father in law is Brother Frank Tamel's brother.

Bro Frank Tamel is such a close friend to our family.

I do not want to say anything that puts them in a bad light.

I have spent a good amount of time with Jeff Butler and I find him more solid than some suggest.

Much of it comes from the standard's and guidelines as many attribute the concept of having the truth.

I appreciate your concern....
