Is that an actual church in Kingsport? I visit that area quite often, and don't think I have heard of that one.

If it is like the UPC then there will be a few "mega churches", some "large" churches of around one thousand, then some mid tier churches of 300-500 then the bulk of the rest being 100 or less.
If the UPC has 3,000 churches in North America and 500,000 adherents then that is an average of less than 200 per church.

Not questioning anyhthing Barb. I think you are being way over sensitive. Oneness Pentecostalism is a hobby of mine. I am fascinated by the different org.'s, doctrines, etc within it.
I have never heard of this org. before you had mentioned it before on the forum and I found it interesting to learn more about it.

Barb,
Do you know what the relationship is between the PAW and COOJC ?
Are there doctrinal differences? If not what is the relationship between the two? Do they fellowship, etc?

Bishop R. C. Lawson founder of the COOLJC was under Bishop Haywood in the PAW. When Bishop Haywood began to teach judgment begins at the House of God on marriage they split Bishop Lawson taught that a sinner who is in a second marriage in order to be saved they must separate and if ppossible go back to their first mate. Also the COOLJC frowns on Women pastors. Bishop Lawson was at Columbus, Ohio but went to Detriot then to NYC and built large churches in both places and evangelized the East Coast most black Oneness works on the East Coast has their roots from Bishop Lawson. He did speak at Haywood's funeral.

Bishop Lawson had maybe 3000 members in the New York church when the Bibleway bunch split at one time the Greater Refuge had about 3000. Smallwood Williams in DC also was a split and had around 4000 members. Bishop Johnson's church in Philly in it's heyday had 4500 adult members. They had large churches in those groups. Many had several hundred. Holy Temple (Goodwin's group) in Bronx has 2000.
