Absolutely. Each case is different, I couldn't begin to tell you what to do (as each case is so different) other than consult doctor, work with kid day by day, etc etc. It's a lifelong struggle for them, and it's frustrating for everyone around them. Grace, patience, and prayer are everyday necessities.

I am not the parent. Most doctors interventions in these scenarios is try this medicine. If they sedate the child enough there is not a problem because they will make a walking zombie out of the patient. Too me it is cruel what these children go through at the hands of medical professionals. I haven’t a problem with patience, love, and Grace. There are times that a family needs some intervention that works. They need a miracle.

People who have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) may be uninhibited, able to change topics quickly, able to see the big picture, and risk-takers. They may be especially able to worship God and serve Him and others through:

Leadership Skills (2 Timothy 2:15, Mark 10:42-45)
Gifts of Teaching (James 3:1, 2 Timothy 4:2-3)
Evangelism (Mark 16:15)

People who have Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) may be able to hold a thought in their minds for a long time, truth-seekers, and deeply burdened to alleviate suffering. They may be especially able to worship God and serve Him and others through:

Prayer and Intercession (Ephesians 6:18, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Gifts of Prophecy (1 Corinthians 14:1-3)
Gifts of Teaching (James 3:1, 2 Timothy 4:2-3)
Showing Mercy and Compassion (Psalm 86:15, Psalm 145:8-9, Luke 6:36)

It is wonderful to help people who are mentally challenged find purpose and be productive in the kingdom of God. The sad part of these disorders listed is that people suffer from them. Are we afraid to pray for their healing so they no longer need special intervention? We now have sign teams in the church and that is awesome. I have seen deaf people filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost and it is awesome to witness. If the Spirit of God is there to fill will it not also heal? I have felt a burden lately for someone with autism. I don’t mind trying to find a way to incorporate people and make them feel useful. Matter of fact for the last several weeks I have been using someone in the sound booth at our church for that reason. They are doing a great job too. I feel like I am failing them, because I dont know what to do. I want to see them healed or delivered whichever really applies. I am not frustrated, but I am burdened.

Actually, it's not "low hanging fruit". If two people are discussing, say, calculus, and one of them doesn't believe 2+2=4 anymore, then how much can they really contribute to the discussion?

I do believe that If this is strictly physical, then God is a healer. If it is in some cases demonic the God is a deliverer.

I was just planning to post something similar as I read the first page, but you beat me to it. God can heal anything. In fact, we had an awesome service just last night, that culminated in talking about how God can heal mental diseases just like He can heal physical ailments.

Whether they're demonic possession or not is irrelevant, God is all powerful.
