What are y'all doing tonight...besides reading this?!

I've had a quiet evening alone...mom had supper at Reg and Tam's (I didn't feel like going), and now that she's home, I'm fixing to put my hips in the bed.

What are y'all up to?!

We had ensemble practice at church this evening. Now I'm at home trying to find some cool graphics to use for Power Point for Sunday morning. We have a couple here from Brazil for three weeks. He will be speaking on Sunday morning, so I'd like to use some background graphics that will represent their country. Anybody got any ideas???

It's so great to be "home".

I just made a stew. Was up really early this morning - about 5:30 - so I browned and simmered the meat so that would be done when I got home from work. Peeled the vegetables after I got home.

It's damp and quite cool here tonight so I have a fire in the fireplace .... looks lovely from here. The stew is bubbling on top of the stove and it smells wonderful. I have the new CD Barb sent me playing in the background.

I'm alone. It's peaceful, quiet and restful. I'm so glad to be home.

I'm up with my wife and my oldest daughter who has strep throat.
Lindsay has been sick all week.

After work, I made a brownie pie for my son (and extra pie dough for the cinnamon crust strips) and green shamrock cookies to take to work tomorrow.

Perused the board some and winding down now.

Renda, Do you have the recipe for Chess pie your mom used to make? I love it! I have not had it since your mom passed away!

I am sitting here dreading having to get up at 4:45 am to get to the airport for a 7 am flight home. Then when I get home I have a tough work day ahead of me involving drviing all over creation when I know I am going to be sleepy and tired.

I have trouble sleeping the night before a trip as I always irrationally worry about wake up calls and alarm clocks not working and missing my flight etc.

I would be surprised if I get more than three our four hours sleep tonight if that. ARghhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes - that's my son's favorite. I'll post it in the food section/pies.

I just went there and Esther brought it over from NFCF - it's the last post in the pie section.

Church tonight at the new campus in Savannah, TN. We had a great crowd and a very sweet move of the Spirit. I love these people! We just got home around 11 pm and I'm going to bed soon. Tomorrow night, someone gave us a night at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis (woo hoo!!). Can't wait to get away for a night; we've had church or meetings every night for so long I can't even remember!
