My dad was 26 and my mom was 16 (almost 17) when they got married in 1946.

My dad was 6'2" and my mom 3'11".

Even after six years of marriage when they drove from Louisiana to Alaska in 1952 hotels would offer to "put your daughter in the room next to you!". Many times they had to show their marriage license to get hotel rooms!!!!
