I attend POA, many would label it liberal, but we have batpized many hundreds each year for at least the last 4 years I've been here. I have seen 'revival' in the Prison where I preach and teach and they pretty much have a standard of orange jumpsuits on the regular inmates and blue for the trustees.......

You'll never convince those you are trying to prove yourself to on this matter.

I think it is much easier for new comers to experience salvation if the standard issues are not given first place in our teaching .People coming to Jesus most of the time,have problems that turn them to Jesus in the first place.The last thing in their search for freedom they want is to be force fed alot of rules.If they are hungery for God they will learn those things that are nessecary for salvation.One thing that we tend to forget is that Standards aer a point of contention for even seasoned Apostolics, no one truley agrees on them.Another thing is that IF we dress a certain way it is the outcome of a walk with God it takes time and patients to nurture souls.The wrong impression can be given that one can only be saved if you dress ,act and so on a certian way.The best indicator or standard that one is christian is they have the Love of God for others.

ok PK.....now that you've had "revival"....in true OP style its time to stop doing what you're doing.....and begin traveling around the country telling others how to do exactly what you did.HAHA.

Really though this typical arguement is quite old, in the Charismatic Renewal of the 1960's we said they weren't getting the HG, becasue they smoked and socially drank, went to movies and ultimate killer evidence of if something was genuinely of God or not was, got it who belonged to mainline, liberal churches.
