OH my word! I was at Bay Beach Amusement Park this summer and my boys wanted to go on the ferris wheel. I didn't think anything of it until I got on and it started to tip. As we got further up, i began to get real paranoid! I told them that they weren't allowed to move a muscle....the cart tilted forward and backward and I didn't want it moving the least bit....My 3 year old was more brave than Me!!

but I'll try:
1. escalators - totally traumatic experience. My husband knows he has to go RIGHT in front of me and hold my stuff so I can hold to the rail. (did I say hold? I mean cling to that thing for my dear life) Then I nearly hyperventilate before the thing gets to the end. That is if I even get on the stupid thing - I freeze a lot at the top and stop..and won't get on - my husband has to make a couple round trips sometimes to come back and get me at the top. That is if he can find me when he gets back.
2. curbs - I cant stand to step off a curb. It's not so much the fault of the curb, it's the fear of falling that gets me. Same thing with going down steep stairs, it's the falling forward thing that gets me. I think that is the root of my escalator phobia.
3. slopes/hills - you know any kind of embankment, I cannot go DOWN them - see above for explaination. If the yard slopes, I'll be walking AROUND till I find a flat spot
4. Roaches, mice, snakes and spiders. I'm not deathly afraid of them, well snakes and spiders - well, mice too..roaches I just LOATHE. They are all nasty creatures that have the ability to seriously hurt you (snakes, spiders)
Hey, but I will go check out the "bump" in the night LOL!!!
5. Large, pressing crowds. ICK cant stand the feeling of being trapped or the "urgency" about the whole thing....
6. Water deeper than I am tall. I dont swim, wont learn how and I wont get in water deeper than say chest height. One time when I was little, my sister decided to baptize me in the pool. (4-5ft) it was deeper than I was tall - well she dropped me on the dunk....she scarred me for life.
I have more weirdness, as my dh calls it, but I'll spare y'all the details and myself the humiliation LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I knew I wasn't comfortable being in a big crowd, but when our youth group went to youth conference two years ago.... I flipped. Started off nervous (which was normal for me) then got anxious (usually I woulda left the crowd by this point, but didn't want to lose my group amongst the thousands), then angry at anyone who bumped me, wouldn't hold hands with my friends, then crying (uncontrolably) and shaking. One of the girls pulled me aside into a restroom and got me to semi-calm down, but for the next few hours I couldn't handle anyone being within about ten feet of me (I looked like a nut cake and the guys got the biggest kick out of walking towards me... even my pastor got some laughs). The next day before we got off the bus they asked me would I be okay and I was like "yeah, I can handle it, just don't talk about it" I did better, but no the less, flipped a little. I determined not to EVER go to a general conference EVER again..... but then I loved it and probably would, but I know I would flip
