Is Christ in you? ...the hope of glory...

Sometimes it is confusing signals we get from PP's since we know men who claimed to be PP's then the next thing we know they are preaching FP. You may get licks you don't deserve. However if YOU and others had condemned FPs a little stronger earlier it would have distanced you from them. But y'all were a little slow. I am glad now you have made your stand against them. LS is all over the place his conversions are so numerous that we watch him with great scepticism who knows where he will land on any subject. I appreciate your clear stand for the return of Christ, future resurrection & judgment. This is not meant to be offensive but might explain why you catch some undeserved flack?

Please excuse all of the commas. I'm not an English major.

Many PP's have gone FP. But there is a MARKED DIFFERENCE in PP than FP. Huge, I think.

Brother, I do not apologize for not fighting more than some think I should have. But the fact remains that people need integrity and get things from the horses' mouths when they accuse people of believing certain things.

You could be right. LP, whom I know very well personally, though, is strong PP as well.

Anyway, people will give account for false witness along lines such as this. A sincere Christian should be concerned about what he/she relates to others about another's belief.

Again when your name comes up and it does I do straighten folks out that you do teach the Literal return of Christ. I have told many preachers about your writings on the literal resurrection I think it is one of the best I have read.

By the way, I hollered about the differences VERY LOUDLY ever since the start. I always insisted on physical resurrection and future hope similar to futurists' belief. I personally thought it hurts everyone to attack, though. I guess one gets hurt either way, in some cases.

Some authors of the UPCI book know quite clearly where I stand on future hope, and yet they did not make it plain enough in their book to show what PP's believe about it. And the book is primarily about PP, not FP!

Brother Blume,
You are correct when you state that "Upholding Our Future Hope" does give the false impression that the PP's do not believe in a future hope.

I did read the book, so I know.

I think the reason for that is - they believe that ALL PP's will eventually become FP's. I know that you don't agree with that, but that is my understanding on the subject.

BTW, I am enjoying reading your book, which you have pictured in your avatar! If I have any questions I'll let you know. Thanks for sending it and autographing it. I might decide to sell it on E-bay!

Most refer to our hope as the resurrection and our eternal existence in glory which is far beyond what we can experience in this mortal flesh. But the verse you brought out shows us the BASIS for all of that, anyway. Jesus, Himself, in us!

Quote:
Tit 2:13 KJV Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
SInce the blessed hope is noted above as being the APPEARING of Jesus, folks refer to the blessed hope as something more than having Jesus in us. But it is all tied together, really.

Quote:
Col 1:27 KJV To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Christ being inside us is the reason we will experience further glory. It is this further glory in the resurrection, when sin is removed from our mortal flesh when that flesh is made immortal. So Christ in us is associated with the future appearance of Christ when we are glorified. Our hope OF GLORY.

We hope for that which we presently do not see.

Quote:
Rom 8:25 KJV But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
