You have no clue what you are talking about. That church and the church board loved and revered their pastor. There was no agenda to get rid of him. Everybody there was stunned and shocked at the situation.

There are details that have come out that are slightly different than the first report but only in details. The sin is still the same and perhaps even harder to understand. No details will be posted here unless they are publicly published elsewhere as formal accusations but the details don't really matter. What does is that it was a sexual moral failure / sin and accusations of misuse of church money.

Oh, don't be so sure...I know a lot more than one would presume.

I am going to try to help you since it's obvious you cannot see how truly warped your line of thinking is.

You are more upset about the opinions of anonymous internet posters than you are the fact that a conservative Apostolic preacher allegedly had affairs with multiple women for years.

Are you really going to try to use scripture to defend this man?

Ever hear of the ten commandments?

Commandment #7 is "Thou shalt not commit adultery"

We won't even mention false witness or covetousness.

So if you're going to bring out things God hates, start here. But don't bludgeon the victims of this garbage with your reams of cut and paste theology.

No wonder the world wants nothing to do with Christianity.

And what women would that be? If they were women who are not pentecostal, they most likely would keep that secret. If any of those women were married, perhaps they thought better than to reveal what they done. If they were pentecostal and married...I doubt that they would want to be a part of that scandal and lose their happy home.

If TB was a man who held a lot of power, I doubt that anybody would listen to the one he cheated with.

There is a man in our area who everybody knows he cheats, but his family is on the woman who tells their sordid secret like stink on a dog. They have money and influence in that little town. Those people go for the throat. His wife is a believer but he goes for other women who are not his wife and sits in the front row on Sunday hollaring Amen. Go figure.

Guess we will see where all this ends up when everything comes out.

Likewise, nothing was publicly admitted for 4 years either.

Sometimes the congregation never hears that public announcement. I know I never did hear it until 15 years later, sitting at a table in a restaurant after coming upon the pastor who decided to tell us that a man of God from a UPC church told him his gift and calling was without repentance and he must preach. He never actually admitted his breech, but implicated his sin and repentance.

Some people never will actually admit it and ask forgiveness for misusing funds or for cheating.
