Re: Pedophilia in Kansas Church

I have been so saddened by this situation, it boggles my mind how this pastor young could preach hard and strong and then to find out this has happened, i remember he had came to indiana at a meeting to preach, pacing down the isle and preaching about homosexuality but not saying it like that it was more harsh. and then started preaching about wearing rings, well thank God I was there that night because the Lord convicted me of wearing them at the meeting i turned my rings in that night but to look back and see what has happened and that he couldnt even hold on to his own preaching himself. i do not hate this man but it has had me question alot of things. I pray for him and his family but wondered why this whole situation went on and no one new nothing. this is what boggles my mind..alot of people are affected by this and it isnt just his church it is poeple like me who decided to visit a meeting one night and there he was preaching. unbeleivable.

HARD AND STRONG???

preaching about wearing rings, well thank God I was there that night because the Lord convicted me of wearing them at the meeting

I DON'T BELIEVE THIS. IF HE PREACHED AGAINST USING 2-PLY YOU WOULD HAVE POSTED THAT GOD CONVICTED YOU AND YOU SWITCHED TO 1-PLY OR AUTUMN LEAVES.

i do not hate this man but it has had me question alot of things.
EXCELLENT!!! KEEP SEARCHING!!!

I don't get that at all. Living in a box doesn't protect them from anything. I know that all YUKONS (U-Cons) don't tighten things up because of someone else's failures. But, I know that it does happen. Have you heard of a cell phone curfew? For the church? I have.

And why are people living a strict dress code referred to as ultra conservative? What is conservative about that? And why are we called liberals? Some of us are not liberal in the truest sense of the word.

what I mean preaching hard and strong is he preached hardcore. you can't do this and can't do that and he became mean about his preaching, calling homos a bunch of fagots. thats not love if you ask me. and if someone committed adultry they were not allowed back in his church and he said not to have anything to do with the people who have commited this adultry. just pure mean if you ask me..

You might want to start doing a little research on psychological manipulation. Sometimes these people who want to enforce a long laundry list of extra biblical rules on people are control freaks. Also sometimes the things they preach the hardest against are the things they struggle with themselves. No scientific proof of that but that is my observation of a half century. I am not saying all ultra cons are this way but I am saying what they preach and how they preach it appeals to those type people so some become ultra con preachers.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

This is about as good as you can explain it CC1. However, the most controlling pastor I ever had wasn't necessarily the most conservative. More like insecure.

I have came to the conclusion about a year ago that i finally see what is going on. these men preach hard but to find out they struggled with the thing they preached about. it is in their own back yard. were they lovers of God or lovers of themselves..

You go toward your focus.....plain and simple.

And the mind cannot avoid a "don't".....when you are constantly harping on what NOT to do, the mind dwells on those things.....
