Well, you go take two Yahwists under each arm and start plowing.

Then after you get through all the word jumbles (plus making futile attempts to pronounce them) we will be here singing about JESUS!

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
There's just something about that name
Master, Savior, Jesus
Like the fragrance after the rain
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Let all heaven and earth proclaim
Kings and kingdoms shall all pass away
But there's something about that name.

Re: ' jesus '

I know many Messianic people, and very few of them agree on the exact way to say or even not to say the name of the Lord. I doubt two of them could "plow together", or agree together... as EB stated... lol

I believe the Lord honors the invoking of the authority of the name of Jesus, in whatever language the name may be said in... the authority behind the name is where the power lies, and not the correct translation or pronunciation of that name. To the best of our ability, we in the English language translate the Aramaic name of Yeshua to Jesus, and whether we call on the name of Yeshua or the name of Jesus, there is power in the authority behind that precious name.

I'm American, I speak English so why do I need to call HIM something else when I know his name is JESUS.

Hay algo acerca de ese nombre
Maestro, Salvador, Jesús

Jesús, Jesús, Jesús
Dejad que todo el cielo y la tierra proclamen
Reyes y reinos pasaran
Pero hay algo acerca de ese nombre.

Paulus, Timotheous, Lucas, and so on.

The original KJV of 1611 wrote it as Iesus,
then it was later on it was changed to Jesus.
I think the -s ending is for tense

Some places in the bible its "Iesou" and others "Iesoun"

Re: ' jesus '

Iesou is Genitive

Iesoun is Accusative

Iesous is Nominative
