I've Seen it ALL NOW!!!!!

I just read this in a work announcement - this is wrong!

The **** replace my corporation's name.

Employee Resource Group: Triangle Alliance

The ****** Alliance received an Honorable Mention for using an ambitious three-pronged approach to better position ****** to recruit and retain Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) employees as well as positioning ******* as a corporate leader in GLBT benefits equality issues.

I work for a large Corporation and have to put up with that type junk also. About a year ago on our Compnay internet news site they welcomed a new VP to a New York division and mentioned how her and her "life partner" (insert second woman's name here) were moving to NYC.

I also was at the mfg. facility of a major electronics maker this past year where they had a bulletin board display celebrating Gay and Lesbian month. Arghhhhhh!!!

Should GLBT people not have jobs?

If they have jobs, should they not have benefits?

Sure, but why are they are a group treated any differently than me? Why the distinction?

If when I was married could I expect special treatment because I perferred to have - - oh never mind, I can't say that here.

They should have benefits but not their "partners".

Benefits should only be for MARRIED "life partners" not shack ups and gay partners.

Oh, and yes I think it is a travesty they allow gay couples to adopt. That should be illegal.

Of course it is.

Why not make me special because I have blond hair - - give me a equal chance to be a VP because of it!!!!

Just treat everyone the same and may the best man/woman win!

Did Renda say that?

No, sadly, you've not seen it all. Just wait til they start firing or passing over straight employees to hire and/or promote non-straights to comply with federal court orders. Its coming. Those who fail to remember the past are doomed to repeat it.

All Americans have a right to work and to recieve benefits. That goes without saying. But playing favorites to appease some court order is wrong. But... its coming.
