Scott, I think that the UPC will change and get rid of the standards as well as the three-step doctrine but it has not changed yet. The folks in the pews may be "past" all of this but the leadership of the organization has not.
What do you think? Is Deltaguitar a prophet? or a wishful thinker?

I hope we are'nt talking ALL standards - like I think clothes are a good thing in general.
Also, while we should learn that the body of Christ is not confined to Oneness Pentecostals, I hope we never abandon baptism in Jesus Name, and Holy Spirit infilling.

There is a difference in being relevant to the culture and being pressed into the culture's mold. The UPC must follow the leading of the Spirit in order to minister to this culture or it will find itself more and more marginalized.

I agree.
I tend to think that the Oneness groups have a better understanding in the area of God's nature and correct baptism.
Let's just get away from perfomance based salvation. The performance comes because we love God not because we want to be saved.
