Does almost everyone do something for New Year's?
It's *quiet* around here tonight
I'm babysitting while a friend works. Then I'm going to go to bed. I'm so not exciting.

Re: Does almost everyone do something for New Year
We wanted to go to church for foot washing service and communion, but the kids are sick. They are not to sick to stay up though and form a parade with headbangers and noisemakers in a personal little "first-night" celebration.

Re: Does almost everyone do something for New Year
The new year is about time, not about partying or celebration.
That would be like celebrating everytime the clock struck 5 AM.

Ohh...I forgot all about church stuff tonight.
I'm sorry to hear the kids are sick. I am glad they don't sound deathly ill though. lol It's never good when they're too sick to make noise. lol

Re: Does almost everyone do something for New Year
My kids had friends over from church for a night of playing board games & foosball and they had plenty of snacks & sodas.
I'm about to grab a cup of hot cocoa and read the last couple of chapters in the new Karen Kingsbury book I got for Christmas.
Yeah, I have an exciting celebration going on too.......... NOT!

It is just another night. I wonder what it will be like here during three kings day January 6th?

Re: Does almost everyone do something for New Year
We usually go to my brother's to ring in the New Year with my family. But Justin is sick today (flu bug. Ewwww) So Keith went over but Walt and I stayed here. Besides I have a funeral video to get finished. Fortunately tho it doesn't have to be ready until Friday so I've scanned the pics tonight. Tomorrow I'll put the video together and burn it, then make the cover for the case and the Lightscribe cover for the DVD itself.
It was a quiet night here. I got in several games of Scrabble online --- cuz my friends here on AFF were so quiet there wasn't much else to do
Happy New Year, folks. Good night now.

Re: Does almost everyone do something for New Year
We went hiking today. Just 30 minutes from our house. I guess this isn't technically "tonight" but we'll probably be sleeping by midnight because of the 5 hour walk and climb this afternoon.
And yes, we do have SOME snow here. At least over 6000 feet (maybe it is closer to 8000).
Me (I hope)
Us at the very top of the trail overlooking Weevers point.
