Re: Jacob Tapia impersonating UPc preachers
Are things like this done in churches? As some sort of comedy? I wonder if they get permission from preachers impersonated? Some types of "comedy" just seems not too right to me.

You haven't really made it as an entertainer until Weird Al does a parody of you.

It looks like it was a BOOT service...not a regular POA service.
I thought it was funny, and 'dead on' impersonations. Further, there was nothing out of line, disrespectful, or not 'right' about it.
Perhaps he did one of your 'favorites' and that's why you took offense?! Just wondering...

I didn't look at the comedy, so I don't know what ministers were impersonated. It's just my own opinion that I feel uneasy about things like that. I think the office of the ministry is one to be held with highest respect is all.

You didn't watch it?!
Well, the young man impersonated Bro. Ewing, and his son was there. He even 'did' Bishop GA himself...he didn't seem to have a problem with it.
You know what?!
I think we take ourselves way too seriously.
Respect the office of the ministry?! You bet I do, but we need to lighten up a bit on this thing that they/y'all are untouchable in certain things.
Some things are just flat out funny...
On the other hand, if you or anyone has a conviction about such things, that I also respect.
Just please do not think for a minute that if someone impersonates a minister, and people laugh, that it is a sign of disrespect.

I'm sorry....this is hilarious. I think it's good to be lighthearted every once in a while.

Dead on Barb! You get a standing ovation in my book for this response! The only thing I guess that would have messed it up would have been him impersonating Pelosi! lol
