yes, but this does not negate the veracity of the info, necessarily. In fact, similar to RT, i'm finding them quite meticulous in their facts--even if slanted against our regime. There is a perceived void in trustworthy news now, and Sputnik--who i thought at first might be a Russian "Onion" kind of fake news--has likely been established to fill the void.

So, suspect their agenda, sure. But I'm more interested in the reliability of the American historian they quoted, and actually posted this more for the ancillary facts in the article, which were revealing to me. It is pretty well established that US interests created IS at this point, i think.

Either it is well established or it isn't. If it is established, who is it established by and where is their proof?

well, it has been revealed to me how our country operates now; and it isn't pretty. An 'ends justify means' type operation. My opinion is that they--meaning hawks who were able to prevail over the doves--created IS knowing full well what they were unleashing; but that is just rumor.

What is pretty established is that they funded IS to "fight against Assad;" but at the end of the day this seems pretty lame, as "why, again, were you interfering in another country's democratically--sort of--elected government?" Usually it is advisable to follow the money, but the answer here might be, seems to be, "Israel." But i'm pretty convinced now that we funded IS, ya. Prolly still are. Money and weapons

Uh...because we are enemies? We originally supported the rebels against Assad. The only sad part is are support was really cruddy and allowed ISIS to gain strength
