He didn't say you had to order it on TV. He said purchasing things that are "AS SEEN ON TV." It's not "AS SEEN ON TV" if it's ON TV. It's "AS SEEN ON TV" if it's in a store and labled as such, not having been ordered from TV.

the Mills mall used to have an "as seen on TV" store..

and walgreens has almost an entire aisle of the stuff...

you dont have to have a tv to know about any number of as seen on tv products
