Isaiah 53:4-5 "Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. [5] But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
This word translated "borne" comes from the Hebrew Word "nâsâh". The Brown Driver Briggs defines as "to lift, lift up, to bear, carry, support, sustain, endure, to take, take away, carry off, forgive."
While this word translated as "grief" comes from the Hebrew word "chŏlîy". The Brown Driver Briggs defines as simply "sickness".
So we can very easily translate that as "Surely he hath taken away, carried off, and endured our sickness, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
I believe it, I've even been a partaker of it. God can do all things!
