WH Meeting with POTUS, Intel and Heads of Congress

With Iran shooting down a US drone which it claims violated it's airspace, news reports are stating the White House has invited the GOP/DEM Heads of Congress to meet with the POTUS and intel officials.

John Bolton may be getting the war he's lusted after for decades.

I do not support any military action against Iran. We would do the same thing if Iran or some other conflict country flew a drone into our airspace. (And we'd likely attack the country for doing it) Iran has every right to defend its airspace.

Trump ran to end ME wars. He also ran to bring the troops home, and IIRC, he made a big show of bringing them home over a year ago and they're still not all home. In fact, we're sending more troops over due to this escalation with Iran.

I have a feeling Bolton and the military will convince Trump to take some kind of tit for tat military action. Perhaps drone strike or Tomahawk missile strike against an airstrip or missile battery.

I really hope that doesn't happen though.

Just saw a video of Trump making comments about Iran shooting down the US drone. Trump used the word, "mistake" a few times and said it was likely a General or someone who did something they shouldn't have done.

That's really good. Trump didn't accuse Iran of outright hostility or state-sanctioned action, but labeled the incident as a mistake. That was important to try to de-escalate the tension.
