This is not from one of my sons but a pastor that grew up with our boys that calls me mother...

Mother
Do you know when you are going to be speaking in Valinhos? I wanted to know to tell the people. Let´s mark a special service on this date. I already told the young people that you would be speaking the 12th and 13th of January for the National Camp Meeting. When are you coming to São Paulo?

The next trip to Paraguay on the 15th of January we are going to need a few things so I was thinking about writing a letter. What do you think?
This time in Paraguay we have to dig a well and a sewer. We need more cement, iron, wood, doors and windows, also roofing for the church.
Pastor Manoel is willing to go back to finish the church, but we have to see about the expenses. The trip out there and back is R$220,00 but also the travel to Paraguay from Mundo Novo is 60 Km every day. So we have gasoline, lunch, and dinner. Do you think it would be better to get somebody there?

In Navinaí we need money for the labor of the bricklayer and ask the mayor to put a hydrometer so we can make the mortar. We first have to build a little room for the tools and materials.

Up till now we are talking about material things but spiritually speaking I would like to stay about 4 days in Navinaí to reach out for souls in that area to start the work there. There is one family there and another in Ponta Porã MS to visit. I am praying that the Lord would open doors in that region.

In Paraguay and Mundo novo, I want to stay a week so that I can evangelize and visit a lot of people. In March we are going to inaugurate the church in Paraguay and it is my desire to see people baptized in his name there. I know that all these material and spiritual things isn´t easy but I am willing to work for the Lord! My dream is to activate the whole region from Mundo novo till Campo Grande. God gave a church in Mundo novo and the Land in Naviraí and without a doubt He will give us a church in Dourados, Ms. This way we we´ll have a line of churches in M.S.

In faith believing I am going to visit the brothers and sisters in Goiania, Goias. The young people that worked with Pastor Manoel in Paraguay, Alisson and Anderson, they were from Goiania. They know all the brothers and Pastors in Paraguay. They used to live there a couple years. Now they are in Campo Grande and told me when I go to there, they will take me to some brothers. This year I want to work more and more for the Lord and also to help you and Bishop extend the work here in Brazil. I want to be a strong arm, I am ready and excited for the work! Let´s dethrone the Devil and save souls from Hell. I had a dream in which the Lord spoke to me.

I had a dream that I was passing through an empty lot of land as a shortcut to get on the other side of the block when I came to some sand dunes. Each one was of a different type of sand and I was explaining to my son what each one served for. Then there came a man who said He was the owner and told me to leave and not pass through there again. When I asked him why he said that he was a warlock and all this belonged to him that is when I woke up. I prayed and God spoke to me. The sand represented souls and the warlock represented the devil. I understood that I am going into the enemy´s camp. That place in Paraguay and Mundo Novo is full of witches and warlocks. In Paraguay there is a territory that is controlled by voodoo. I feel the Lord is going to have a people in that place and I am willing to fight for their souls. I want to take the sheep out of the mouth of the wolf.
In January there are several brothers off work and I wanted to take about 7 of them with me to help evangelize, I wait on your reply

Love you,
Pastor Hugo

What is so sad is he is more than willing to go but funds are not available...Please pray that the Lord of harvest will open doors for this young missionary to work the fields.

I really feel that if this young missionary had support he would make a great difference in the lives of many souls.
Many times and even this week and last week pastors have spoken on the phone to me about monies invested in young missionaries and it be money down the drain. YET there are those that are really called and we can not be excused because someone messed up and failed.
Many times people have lots of excuses for not helping national missionaries but after 40 years on the field I can tell you one good national missionary is worth 10 or more American missionaries. (and I am American) Notice I said a good national, not one that dollars goes to their head but a GOD called one.

I really feel in my spirit that this pastor and young missionary is worthy of our support. I wish you would pray about reaching out and helping him in his calling.
