URGENT!!!!
Please pray for my grandfather, Rev. James Hodum. He is currently in ICU in Tupelo. He went to the hospital due to the fact that he was retaining fluid but now his kidneys have failed, his sight has been affected, he was disoriented and I just received a call that he was unresponsive.
As hard as this is to type, please pray for God's will. He does all things well.
Also, please pray for me and my family. My grandfather is the patriarch of the family and if it wasn't for him and his faithfulness we may not know and love this precious truth today.
Thanks for the fevent prayer.

Lord God,
I well remember 18 yrs. ago, when my dad, the patriarch of our family
was nearing the end of his life. Praying "O Lord, it seems we (family) need
him so much. The church needs him so much, but Lord, never the less, thy
will be done, in Your name"! Lord, You did see fit to take him on home but
not before you touched me in such a beautiful way. You gave me peace
and comfort that would endure to date.
Lord, look down on this young grandson and his cry for what this grand-
father has stood for. If those who have paved the way of truth before
us, never leave, we could not and would not grow up to be patriarchs for
our own children and grandchildren. Lord, you take away that that which
cannot be taken away might remain. Thank You, Lord Jesus, You alone
know what is best. We humbly ask for peace and comfort for this family,
if You do see fit to take Rev. James Hodum HOME!
This grandson has asked for Your Will to be done and that is wisdom. We
know Your Will cannot be improved upon.
We commit this prayer request into Your Wonderful Hands, in Jesus Name!

Thank you so much for the effectual fervent prayer!!!!
Keep praying please!!!
One side of his heart has been damaged for quite a while but now apparently the other side has become damaged as well and he is to weak to repair it himself. They have also put him on a ventilator.
The doctor said that he could maintain the state that he is in for a night or for a year. I am packing and am about to leave to head up there.
We trust God's will and with His grace we accept it, no matter the outcome.

Sister,
Thank you so much for your prayer. This brings much comfort to my soul.
Dear Little Brother, (I say that in the sense I am a much older sister.)
I have a feeling God has already imparted some of your grandfather's
wisdom into your earthen vessel. I believe you have wisdom beyond
your years. Being willing to submit to God's Will regardless of what it is,
is a sign of spiritual maturity. God bless you and your family during this
time. His peace and comfort will be sufficient for the need!
Blessings,

I am sitting in the ICU waiting room typing this update.
I was able to see my grandfather for a few minutes and I was not prepared for what I saw. They have him on a medicine that is maintaining his blood pressure but is going to shutdown his kidneys if he is on it for too long. They are slowly trying to wean him off of it throughout the night. Please pray that he can maintain a sufficient blood pressure level by himself.
Beyond that, we are just watching and praying.
Thanks again for all of the continued prayer and support!

bd, we are still holding your family up in prayer.

Thanks for your prayers!! I believe that we are gaining the attention of heaven! He is responding by squeezing my hand. Praise the Lord!
The doctor said that they have determined that he has an infection in the blood that is originating in the lungs.
They have decreased his blood pressure med to half but that has, in turn, decreased his blood pressure to 88. It needs to be above 90.
If they keep him on the med it will shutdown his kidneys. If they don't then his blood pressure drops way too low.
We need and are fully dependent on the touch from the hand of God. He is the God that heals all of our diseases.
Please continue to bombard heaven with prayer.

As of the 6:00 a.m. visit, his kidneys were producing 80 cc's and he had 2 bowel movements. The Dopamine was at a level 3 and the ventilator was only giving him 2 breathes a minute.
At the 10:00 a.m. visit, his blood pressure dropped so they kicked the Dopamine up to 20. It hasn't been at that level from the beginning. They also increased the ventilator.
It's just up and down. Please pray for the will of God to be performed.
We have had some great men of God come by and pray.
We have had Bro. Danny Washington from Judah community, Bro. Gary Hodum from Corinth and Bro. Steve Wilson from Potts Camp.
And also, the AFF Family!
Please continue to pray fervently for Rev. James Hodum.

I know the OP hasn't posted to this thread in a while, but I spoke with his Aunt Linda last night at church for an update. Please continue to remember Bro Hodum in your prayers. He is still in the hospital. From what I understand, his wife will not leave the hospital at all. Linda told me she was called to the hospital again yesterday morning because of him having another really bad spell. She also said that she realizes unless God miraculously heals her dad, that it is only a matter of time before God takes him home-- and the family would really appreciate continued prayer.
