Im hopeing Obama thinks Biden is a better choice... because Bahy is really the better choice.
BUT there is a bright spot in the spin. Obama has stated the choice will be someone who brings international experience. if he thinks Bahy does that then he is once again mistaken.

It's amazing how the scoops get out now with the internet. It's the little people, like the airplane mechanic who saw them painting John Edwards' name on the John Kerry's airplane.
This will end up being amusing, as folks come up with clever ways to play on Obama/Bayh sounding like Obama, bye! :waving

I don't think there is much to worry about. Obama is going down in flames. Independents are going to see that the messiah isn't wearing any clothes.
Unless a really strong independent or third party candidate begins to get some traction with the conservative (ordinarily, Republican) base, and really soon, folks are going to holding their noses and voting for McCain ( :vomit ) just like they did for W the second time around.
Then we can get all patriotic when McCain cuddles up to Pelosi for some poison policy, all the while engaging our military in aggressive actions in Iran, Georgia, Darfur, the Sudan, and Detroit. :nah :crazy :dunno :kickcan

When my dad was a policeman in New Castle, Indiana, he knew Evan Bayh's dad, Birch Evans Bayh II. Sr. Bayh was a presidential candidate during the Carter years.
If I remember correctly, Bro. Mooney, of Calvary Tabernacle, Indianapolis, Indiana, had contact with Evan Bayh III and his wife. I cannot remember 100% for sure, but I seen to remember him saying years ago that he taught them some Bible studies.

I disagree.
Obama is not leading by much in the national polls, but even then, national polls don't matter that much. What matters more is individual state-by-state polling, especially in swing states, because of the electoral college votes.
As a matter of fact, in electoral votes, McCain seems to have the edge over Obama right now. Politico.com has it now as McCain 279. Obama 249. (270 is needed to become President)

Obama should be 20 points ahead in the polls and is not. That is the only thing that gives me hope McCain might pull this out if he does well in the debates and Obama comes across as young and inexperienced, which he is. No doubt he will camaflaugue his extreme liberalism though.

UPDATE;
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26336195/
EMPORIA, Va - Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh and Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine have been told by Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's campaign they will not be his vice presidential choice, NBC News reported on Friday, quoting sources.
Speculation about Obama's choice has centered on Bayh, Kaine and Delaware Sen. Joseph Biden. Other names in the mix include Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and Texas Rep. Chet Edwards.

I think the pick may be Joe Biden.... Biden is the one I predict!! I think the best choice to help him win votes would definitely be Hillary. The buzz today is about Chet Edwards from TX.

Should Biden get the nod, character will be his downfall. He is a plagiarist.

For those of us who want McCain to win, that might be a good thing.
Biden also has a reputation of being arrogant. That could work against him too.

I really do not want McCain to win, but I too think that Obama's downfall is going to be his lack of experience. Biden would not have been my choice for him. The guy I would have picked for him said he didn't want to be picked, Jim Webb of VA.
By far-- the best VP he could have picked!
