Barack Obama says his answer about abortion at the Saddleback Church forum was “probably” too flip.

During separate televised interviews last month, Pastor Rick Warren asked the two presidential candidates when a baby gets human rights. Obama replied that the question is “above my pay grade,” while John McCain won love from the right by saying quickly, “At the moment of conception.”

Now, Obama tells ABC’s George Stephanopoulos in an interview taped for “This Week”: “What I intended to say is that, as a Christian, I have a lot of humility about understanding when does the soul enter into … It's a pretty tough question. And so, all I meant to communicate was that I don't presume to be able to answer these kinds of theological questions.”

I haven't said this lately...
Hussein O. is a dirt bag.
And if you do not care for that terminology, thats the nice version.

Sounds like he's trying to back peddle to me.

Now, he's trying to say things to "fill in the blanks" to make him look better.

One thing I do know - it's going to be a LONG two months!

If he is elected I wonder what else he is going to change his mind on? When he finds out how hard it is to deal with the Congress and the Senate. And then there is the rest of the world to deal with.

I don't think McCain scares Obama but I think Palin does.

As a Christian, saying killing babies is cool goes against everything one would stand for, but as a liberal democrat, digging those pesky things out two weeks before they are born and spiking them through the brain is fine. It's a tough line to walk.

I feel bad for him.

focus groups showed this was a bad moment that needed correcting.

thus the correction.... it changes nothing...Barak Obama doesnt care about christian reasoning. He sought to block a law that would require medical help to a child who survived a botched abortion.

That answer is just a cope out of not answering the question directly. He does not want to answer as he does not want to make waves. Either way he answers there will be a group who will disagree. just like he voted "present" over a hundred times instead of a "yea" or a "nea" when he voted in the sentate. He is indeed an "empty suit".:whistle

HIs new answer did NOT change his mind. He gave the same response, which is a non response. He just reworded it to be more acceptable. Where is the change in his answer? Explain how the two answers differ? They don't. He just reworded it, nothing more. The answer it is above my "pay grade" is flippant, and he knows it, so he comes back just saying "I just do not know" making it a little more acceptable, but the answer is the same. He is dogging the answer as he does not want anyone to critize him. If he says life begins before birth he will have to admit abortion is murder. To say it is after birth justifies abortion. He just is playing a political game not trying to get any group upset so he can get the most votes. An empty suit indeed.
