So the odds are pretty good....;)

Could it be that the balance of the two, one older with years of
experience, the other younger, experienced in other areas would
be adventageous. God knows!

Well, he's old and not in the best of health!

Biden had surgery to correct two brain aneruysms. He has yet to release his medical records on that.

John's released records say he is fine. :D

I think so, and mainly that one is older and more experienced and believes in protecting our country. The people want a leader like this.

Karl Rove's political website (http://www.rove.com/election)has an electoral map too. As of today, theirs shows Obama up 226 to 200.

Obama is still leading in the 3 of biggest toss-up states (MI-OH-PA), so McCain still has his work cut out for him.

Looks like he'll have to take at least one of those states to get the 270 he needs. Of the three, Ohio looks like his best chance to do that.

I'm listening to Rove right now on Fox. He is saying 227 McCain and 215 Obama.

I agree, Ohio looks like our best chance.

Ohio and Pennsylvania have really tightened up in the polls the past week. So that's good for him.

But McCain has to be careful about Colorado. Bush won the state in 2000 and 2004. That's 9 electoral votes he cant afford to give up.

.. Then the Christian community MUST do their part by building a RED,
HOT wall of prayer around the candidates that are most likely to stand
for Christian values and principals! We must PRAY that God will give them
the spirit of wisdom and understanding that we might all live a quiet and
peaceable life.

Hugs,

Here's a beautiful shot of Colorado.

Yes, Sister Falla,
We pray for our country. As much as we like our candidates, the element of dirty politics will always be involved in both parties.

After reading, studying, deciding, etc., I still come back to the scripture in Psalm 20:7 "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God."

TRFrance,
How much stock (no pun intended, lol) do you put in the numbers at InTrade?

They have Obama up about 10 points.

Has that been accurate in the past?

No bones about it, McCain has to win at least CO, OH and FL of the tossup states plus all the reds and "leaning" reds. He still has his work cut out for him. I like his new "celebrity" ad about Obama. Because when you strip away Obama's mantra of "Change", it really is just more big government with expensive programs that need funding to come from somewhere......

I havent heard much about them before.
But from what I've read, they seem to be a fairly objective market for predictions on all kinds of things, after looking at all the known factors as objectively as possible.

....Kinda like how the betting houses in Las Vegas come up with the betting odds for each team, not based on their personal preferences or biases, but based on them assessing a bunch of data.

How accurate they are, I'm not sure.

I haven't looked into it on any level. I just find it rather interesting. Kind of like being at a horse race. lol

From an article online...

http://www.gambling911.com/politics/obama-mccain-dead-heat-online-prediction-markets-091208.html

Another online prediction market, intrade.com (http://www.intrade.com/), based out of Dublin, Ireland, has McCain listed with a 51.6 percent chance of winning the Election verses Obama's 48 percent. Betting on McCain was up a whole 1 percent since his running mate, Sarah Palin, appeared in her first unscripted interview Thursday night with ABC News' Charles Gibson. Charles Gibson.

Interesting that experts seem to think the Sarah Palin ABC interview didn't hurt the ticket, but actually HELPED it.

I'll take that.
