A flash mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, then quickly disperse.

I vaguely remember reading or hearing about this hobby. It is very strange and it must be very surrreal showing up to do this random thing and see a lot of other total strangers doing the same thing.

Not my cup of tea but interesting.

Yeah the Home Depot Mob has got to be one of the best laid out flash mobs of all time... so far... :)

They also do one where they all check their backpacks containing cell phones at the public library and then they all call them the same time.

I can see youth groups doing this - I know we would have while in Bible school - shoot, we basically did and just didn't realize what we were doing.

BTW I saw a real "kung fu" fight once. Some of us from church were at the county fair and were sitting down eating when we heard a rush of feet pounding the ground. All of a sudden a group of short asian men came running in like a Jackie Chan movie and surrounded some other guy and he was bouncing up and down and doing kicks while the other guys were trying to position for an attack....then in a second they split and took off. It was weird but I think they were serious. Everyone there just looked at each other not sure what to make of it

Some of those look like a lot of fun...but I tell you what...if I had been at the mall that day and saw everybody hit the floor, I'd be havin' a heart attack for sure thinking there was a gunman on the loose somewhere!!! :uhoh

That was kinda my thought as well...I could just imagine how the mom with little children in a stroller, running for her life trying to protect them, felt afterwards. I'd be one MAD momma for sure!!!! :boxing
