Re: Apostle Paul... a gay?

"Gay Conversations: Hope for the Homosexual" is a good read and available at PPH. I haven't read it in a while so i'm not sure how I would feel about the entirety of the book now. I gave it to someone struggling with lesbianism a few years ago.

Indeed homosexuality is perversion of a natural desire. There are some who are called to celibacy and do not have typical desire for the opposite gender. The advesary perverts those tendencies into homosexual desires and behaviors. It is still sin and God does deliver.

To not remain celebate and or have a family

Yeah, that works real well when they fall back into it years later, breaking up their family.
Don't fall back into it

Most probably couldn't "function" in a hetero relationship. It takes some amount of desire and attraction to be able to perform.
A lot of gay men have been married/had relations with women and had children. It's in the news often.

Yes. So obvious that he didn't get married...

Or not...that Paul did not get REmarried. Rather he dedicated his life to working for Christ.

Not getting married or remarried has nothing to do with being gay

It also says that God is faithful, and that he won't suffer you to be tempted above that "ye are able"...and provides the way of escape "that ye may be able to bear it."

Doesn't that remove excuses?

I guess one answer for someone struggling with homosexual temptation would be: look around for the escape that God has provided instead of allowing temptation to define who you are. I find it interesting that homosexuals define themselves as such because of what tempts them. Is a man an adulterer simply because he is tempted to commit adultery? No--he is only an adulterer if he gives IN to the temptation. If he resists, he is still counted as faithful to his wife.

I have to believe that no true Christian would EVER think
of something so abominable to be so! Which, btw, the Bible is very
clear in teachings to prove that he was NOT. :)
