Salmon on the Grill

Anybody ever grilled salmon?

If so, how did you season it?

Thanks, I have some ready to grill. :)

I haven't grilled it, but I love Salmon!
My wife usually broils it in the oven.

Salt & Pepper, and Lemon juice is what she uses!

yum. there are several ways.

just a bit of salt and pepper and grill on a cedar plank.

add some lemon pepper and thin slices of lemon on top.

make a paste with basil, garlic and olive oil and baste it.

make a sauce with sugar, soy, jalapenos and a bit of wasabe powder and marinde for 15 minutes before grilling.

season with sesame oil, teriakki and garlic

just dont over cook. you want the center to just be opaque.

there are at least 20 miss spelled words in this post. oy veh!

Best meal we have EVER eaten in our lives was grilled salmon (of course it was cooked by Emeril Lagasse).

I place the salmon on a rack way above the coals and use soaked mesquite chips to "smoke" (I hope that isnt a sin) the salmon.
Blessings!

I like to brush salmon with a mixture of olive oil, honey, fresh lemon juice, coarse pepper and kosher salt. If you don't like the sweetness of the honey, just leave it out.

The biggest don't: DON'T overcook salmon. Cook it until it is JUST done, and remove it from the heat immediately.

I love salmon--and my kids will eat it, too.

lol This is what got my hubby's attention about 42 years ago. I mispelled Wednesday in our prayer and fast list for Sunday School and when arrived back to me it had been corrected. :D He still corrects my spelling and grammar/puntuation every chance he gets. ;)

Guess the scales are so small I never noticed the scales. Usually someone blesses with them and all the work has already been done.
Salmon are just now beginning to show up here they are jumping in the harbor. Folks will be smoking their fish for the winter soon here. I love smoked salmon. :D

If there's one thing that makes me envious of people who live in Alaska it's the great fishing they enjoy. *sigh*

I like pepper or even lemon pepper...but I don't know how it will hold up on the grill as it can be flaky...maybe use foil. I prefer broiled myself
