Fruit After His Kind (Holiness, Healing, Etc.)

I'm just sharing something interesting I found while reading the book of Genesis and John today.

In Genesis 1 we read:

11) And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, ......
12) And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind........

Then in John 12 we read:

23) And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
24) Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

In John 12:24, Jesus spoke about his death and the result thereof (if He dies He'll bring forth much fruit). In Genesis 1:11,12 we're told the herb & fruit yield seeds, and when these seeds flourish, their attributes are the same as the tree or herb they originated from.

Now Jesus said through his death, seeds would flourish, and when understanding Genesis, seeds are in the likeness of their originator, in this instance being Jesus.

Now, understanding, we, a seed, originating from Jesus and supposing to flourish in his likeness, here are some thoughts to ponder:

Would Jesus do what you've been doing, or would he take a different approach? How far have you strayed from being "after his kind"?

Jesus is our great example...
His ministry of love is beyond words...His compassion...his giving...his kindness...always reaching out to the mulitudes...
May we, His disciples, follow in His footprints.

I'm glad you read and acknowledged the message sister Alvear. Others here would rather criticize other folks than to conduct a self-analysis. While their eyes are busy on other people, they rot in their stench.

You should have stopped at "I'm glad you read and acknowledge the message". You want people to do a self analysis and not criticize other folks while you turn around and focus on "other people" and use the pejorative "rot in their stench".

I simply stated people would rather be contentious than to conduct a self-analysis. Generalizing people as sinners isn't criticism, disapproving by pointing out shortcomings is.

SELF analysis focuses on SELF not on others.

you didn't not just say "Let's all do a self analysis" you made a criticism of others doing things that had not even happened in this thread and then asserted something pejorative of them all. And then as part of this dialog you have to add that smiley to mock my response. Id expect that since the tone is in fact supposed to be a self analysis you'd agree with me and just say "you are right, let's get away from focusing on others"

I already explained the difference between criticism and a general statement. You're full of assumption Praxeas! Only you would assume I was directing that smiley toward your comment. LOL

Jesus produced the Fruit of The Spirit and so are we. The fruit houses the seed and the hope of reproducing.
