Ogatt here

Hey you heatherns i just got back from a 21 week revival tour with gernon floyd and i am seriously ritghously idningated.
Almost ever church we preached at had drums in the church. I spent half the my message trying to preach the evils of drums in the church. I askeded one drummer..whats the difernce between a fried chicken and a drummer.
He said what? I said a fried chicken could feed a family of 4. We have been overtaked in our churches by drummers. The only way i could tell the other nite that the platform was level was that the drummer was drooling out of both sides of his mouth. What ever happened the the good old days when we gathered up tamborine bells and hairpins after church?.

Bro. Ogatt, could you pray for my pastor? He's got alot to deal with. The woman who plays the accordian is refusing to put a towel on her lap. It's gettin' downright ungodly. I think my pastor will rebuke her or disfellowship her.

My oh my...it's so good to see a holiness preacher here in this apostolic holiness chat room.

Bro Ogatt, might I inquire, are you a married man?

I do have my own tambourines and a mighty fine accordion too.

Sis. Holinesswoman,

That's a bit forward of you, isn't it?

Also, do you have a lap cover for when you play the accordion?

Well Sister Craig, it is the 21st century and us holiness gals don't have much to pick from these last and evel days.

The good book tells us to come boldly before the throne of grace in time of need.

and as concerning a lap cover. I don't have a need for a lap cover as all my dresses are to the floor...

..........that and I don't really have a lap anymore.

What about the preachers that drool out both sides of thier mouth while screaming and pounding the pulpit and stomping the platform like they were drums while making a futal attempt at trying to make a 5 minute sermon last 30 by repeating themselves dozens of times, and then there are the ones that talk out both sided of thier mouth. And last one chicken will only feed one of the obese preachers I have seen.

one word MAXI Skirts!!!

ogatt 12-04-2008 10:29 PM

Re: Ogatt here

If yourn pastor was preachin about maxi skirts then you wouldnt have this problem. Speakin of accoridians. I pulled up into town the other day in my 73 ford station wagon and went into the post ofice and had sister ogatt's accordian layin in the back. While i was in there givn the postmaster a piece of my mind about the price of postage stamps a tragedy happened. Someone broke into my station wagon and left 3 more accordians.

Re: Ogatt here

i had some feller tell me about nehamiah building some wall. He said the fellers had one hand on the sword and the other hand building the wall and he was trying to tell me about balance and that if both hands on the wall we dont stand for holiness and if both hands on the sword we dont outreach or something like that. Judgement begins and ends in the house. I got both hands on the sword...i dont want growth, outreach, in reach, cellular groups or
any other programs. its all i can do to keep the heatherns in my church lined out. I got plenty of preachin materials right now. Fallin away, the coming depression, ever thing that can be shaking will and the evils of education.
The good old days no one questioned the man of God. Now its.... where does it say TV is wrong, video is wrong, flannelgraphs is wrong, underwater basket weaving is wrong? Like the old saying goes..if it was wrong 40 years ago,
it never was right

It seems my dear Bro Ogatt should know many true ultra-conservatives consider maxi skirts to be worldly fashion.

:shockamoo

I've been around a while.

I'm old enough to remember when "maxi" skirts were considered "worldly" fashion and to wear one would mean copying the world.

As one person wryly commented, "Bro. B------ was against maxi coats until his daughter got one."
