Yet another dress code thread. Please read

Cuz I know it's gonna make you laugh out loud. :ursofunny:ursofunny:ursofunny

Many of you over 50, or on the way to 50, are quite confused about how we should present ourselves. We're unsure about the kind of image we are projecting and whether or not we are correct as we try to conform to current fashion.

In spite of what you may have seen on the streets, the following combinations DO NOT go together and should be avoided:

1. A nose ring and bifocals

2. Spiked hair and bald spots

3. A pierced tongue and dentures

4. Miniskirts and support hose

5. Ankle bracelets and corn pads

6. Speedo's and cellulite

7. A belly button ring and a gall bladder surgery scar

8. Unbuttoned disco shirts and a heart monitor

9. Midriff shirts and a midriff bulge

10. Ok, I removed this one so as not to offend anyone

11. Bikinis and liver spots.

12. Short shorts and varicose veins.

13. Inline skates and a walker..

14. Thongs and Depends.

Please keep these basic guidelines foremost in your mind when you shop.

ahh, now that is a good question.

I always laugh when I have a baby in a diaper and the mom brings a little two piece suit for her to wear when we swim. (we use the swimmies diapers so they don't puff all up like the regular ones. But the suit sure looks silly over top of the swimmie.

I never see any thing posted about gloves.......is it ok to wear them?
And if "yes", what colors are acceptable?

I am not talking about mittens.

When I first came to the Cincinnati area in the spring of 1957,
the ladies, including teenagers, were not "dressed" for Sunday School
unless they had on a hat and gloves.
And of course they wore hose (stockings)
secured by a girdle or a garter belt.
That was back before the devil created pantyhose.

It would seem one of the best ways to get somebody to look at something is to tell them you are not showing it to them!:gotcha

We are still very much descendants of Eve.:sad

Do you have any theories on why he created pantyhose?

It seems to me like all those plastic eggs that they are sold in have really helped a lot of households and schools doing craft projects and Easter pagents.

Are you sure Satan invented pantyhose?

I was just kidding when I said that satan created pantyhose.
Some preachers preach against panty hose because a woman has to separate her legs to put them on the same way she would separate her legs to put on men's britches.

No, not at the time.

A year later I married someone that wore all that getup and I saw how it worked.

I thought that wearing a thong precluded the need for Depends all together.

Wow, if that's how we dress without standards, no wonder our fore-fathers saw such a huge need for such strict standards. :ursofunny:ursofunny:ursofunny:ursofunny:ursofunny
