u get nominated for being full o bull!

Re: Toro Award?
....and, I banned the use of the Toro award. I couldn't believe ministers didn't see anything wrong with it. Prax still disagrees with me, but we've agreed to disagree.

I am so totally in the dark it's ridiculous. |
Re: Toro Award?
It was a picture of a bull that would be posted as "an award" when someone stated something ridiculous or they were "full of bull." My argument is we all know what is usually said after bull.
There were ministers from the con camp that thought nothing of it. And they say us liberals don't have any standards.......sure, we do! |

Got it. Is it literally "Bull" that we're full of because that doesn't really make any sense. It seems like it would make more sense if we said someone were full of something that's actually in the bull and the bull emits. Maybe I'm over-thinking it.:D |
Re: Toro Award?
Many of you new folks have no clue of all the funny things that were used in the past.
We have the Lexicon of words/phrases used here: http://www.apostolicfriendsforum.com...n/Lexicon.html (The Toro Award didn't make this list) |

You're full of b.s. (well, we know what that is) and though it might not be considered a curse word to many, I personally feel that it's not a word a Christian needs to say to another Christian. So, why would you say they are full of bull knowing full well what you really mean. |

Anyone who says "Full of bull" is not finishing the sentence, but implies, as everyone is intended to realize, what the bull emits. |

Be Thou Comforted...that reminds me of Coonskinner, LOL and this one: Feral - (adj) Used when you are losing an argument and as a last ditch effort you use something that is only true in an extremely small percentage of the population to try and prove your point. Usually used with the word "children", as in "Well, you know, in the case of feral children....". I actually made the list, I actually made a contribution to the Forum world, LOL. That was an debate with Chax. Ahhh...the good old days. Hyper-critical religious phariseeism - coined by Tribblenator Most here would find it hard to believe that once upon a time Tribble called ME a "typical hyper-critical pentecostal judge"! I'm all feeling nostalgic now! |
