Does anyone know?
I was thinking about this a lot today...situations, trials, tribulations and trouble comes to everyone sooner or later.
More often than not, we hear folks say that it's the judgment of God when this or that happens. But can anyone determine when the line is crossed between judgment and just life?! I mean, it rains on the just and unjust...when is it God and when is it just our turn to go through?! Does this make sense?! |
People that claim every bad thing in your life is the judgment of God are nothing more than dim-witted pseudo-spiritual morons. :)

Job said, "Though he slay me yet I'll trust Him" or something like that...Whatever comes our way, we have to trust that God will take care of us. ...It's ok, in my opinion, to question God - but if you don't get the answer you want, it should not change your feelings toward God. Much tribulation worketh patience and we grow from the times when we have to look to Him when we can't solve our own problems. In the end, it's all Good when you live for God but that doesn't mean it's all good when we go through the trial.
Signed, Pollyanna.........Maybe that's how I sound, but I know that whatever happens God knows and He'll bring me through it with more victory than when I first faced it... |

What others and even the devil can deal to us, God can take and make it into a situation that works for our Good!!!....Call it judgment or call it the trial of our faith, but I call it an opportunity for God to stengthen me and give me a greater victory and make me more than a Conqueror throught Christ who lives in me! |
anybody remember this song?
Job’s God is True Verse One: I can feel.....the hand of Satan....... As the temper....tries me sore..... He has been before the Father....... Asking leave....to tempt me more.... The Chorus: Though God slay me....yet I'll trust Him.... I shall then.....come forth as gold..... And I know...that He still liveth..... For I feel....Him in my soul....... Verse Two: I can hear the Father grant it........ Saying do not touch his life..... Though you crush him He'll not falter.... He will rise....above the strife.... Verse Three: Though I struggle....I'll not stagger.... By His grace....I'll make it through.... For His grace....is all sufficient.... And I know....that God is true.... Verse Four: When I've looked....all around me...... And His face....I cannot see.... Then I know that through the lattice........ He beholdeth even me...... The Chorus: Though God slay me....yet I'll trust Him.... I shall then.....come forth as gold..... And I know...that He still liveth..... For I feel....Him in my soul....... Tag For I know...that He still liveth..... And I feel Him in my soul...... This historic famous hymn was the theme song for the great tent revivals of the 1940's and 1950's It was the radio theme song for the Jack Coe Revival Center Where W.D. Metzgar & Janie Metzgar were pastors |
Did you ever pray Psalm 34 or Psalm 73 when you were going through trials and difficulties or Psalm 10 when you felt like God was silent?
Psalm 34:1 starts off "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth." In The Living Bible this reads "I will praise the Lord no matter what happens. I will constantly speak of His glories and grace." Verse 19 says, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all." In The Living Bible (TLB) this verse says: "The good man does not escape all troubles --he has them too. But the Lord helps him in each and every one." |

God tried Abraham by telling him to offer his only son...it was not the devil nor was it judgement. |
Seems that when good things happen, God gets the blame, but when bad things happen, the devil gets the blame.
Most of the time, it's US that should get the blame! |
I would have to agree with HeavenlyOne on this. Most of the time life deals us things in our finances and things such as that because of previous decisions and lifestyles we have lived. Not always but sometimes.
I think sickness and heart problems sometimes come because of the one too many decisions we have made to eat those hamburgers and fries at Mcd's and living life with no exercise and couch potatos.........ME included. |

YOU REAP WHAT YOU SEW!!! |
I have met more that blame all of lifes problems on the devil then I can count.
There use to be a church outside of Mobile that would make you pray back through if you were late for church. If anything happened to you during the week like a flat tire they would call it "God's Judgement" and call you out during the service to come and repent. |

I think most of what we experience in life is just life. "Time and chance happens to all" is what Solomon said. I think some of what we experience is a result of sowing and reaping and that includes good things as well as bad.. I don't know that very much that happens to us is the actual "judgment" of God. That will come .... and I know it does to an extent in this life but when and where that starts and stops is hard to determine. I've had people talk to me and cry about situations and blame it on God judging them for something they had done when they were young or going through a difficult time in their life or in a backslidden state that had happened many years previous. I've reminded them that the same kind of things happen to people who have always been faithful and never made the kind of mistakes others have. And that sometime some of the difficulties people face are simply a result of their own bad decision making, bad judgment and reaping what they sowed. |

A couple of you have mentioned reaping and sowing and that makes a lot of sense... |
