Blizzard Warning

The storm has been coming all day and now the WIND.

I was late for work this morning due to poor driving conditions. Stayed all day although it was slow and many bailed out early.

On the way home ( 9 miles) I was impressed with how well I was doing with 6 to 8" of new snow.
Then a mile from home I couldn't get up one of the many hills in our lovely city. A nice young man with a chevy truck stopped and offered assistance. He hooked a strap under my bumper and gently pulled me up the hill.

There are still good samaritans :thumbsup PTL

All of the schools will be closed for the 2nd day.

I can hear the wind against the window. If anyone is dreaming of a white Christmas.....quit right now :smack

Winter has arrived!

Winter has definitely arrived. The wind and blowing snow is terrible. It's a fight with the wind just to open the front door. I think I've shoveled snow away from the front door at least 3 times today.

It just started snowing here but schools are cancelled already based on weather predictions. Better safe than sorry.

about 7" here, I'd say. Snow up to the top of the bottom step of the house-BEFORE it started drifting. And COLD! Even church is cancelled, and that's almost unheard of.
